TTI has just organized the "RFID:Are You Ready?" seminar to our key customers on November 6, 2007 to help creating awareness and promoting various applications using RFID technology in Thailand. Invited speakers included Khun Pitchaya from GS1 Thailand, Dr. Chaichana from NECTEC and Khun Somprasong from Thai Post. Live demo using RFID system for warehouse management application was also shown using the RFID hardware system from Intermec and RFID tag from UPMRaflatac. Various types of RFID tags

TTI has been awarded a DWDM Backbone Network from EGAT recently. TTI shall implement the DWDM backbone network using Huawei equipment. The project includes the latest technology in DWDM, the ROADM equipment. The ROADM stands for Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer which is a big improvement over the traditional fixed OADM. Using ROADM, it is much faster to provision and reconfigure a wavelength in the DWDM network.

TTI has just completed the RFID Pilot project in Thai Post Company. The technology will help Thai Post improve the speed in its warehouse operation significantly in the future.

The RFID or Radio Frequency Identification is a technology where identification of goods items are collected using radio frequency. Multiple items can be read at the same time and each item can be uniquely identified, a major difference from bar code system. Last year Thai Post Company has started a trial project bringing the RFID technology into use at its headquarter in Laksi. TTI together with our RFID equipment partner, Intermec, has implemented this trial both hardware and software successfully. The result is a speed and accuracy improvement for Thai Post warehouse operation.
