We also provide ongoing maintenance and support for live client applications; including applications developed by third parties. What is Packet Optical Platform?
เป็นที่รู้กันว่าการออกแบบโครงข่ายเพื่อรองรับ IP ในปัจจุบันโดยเฉพาะในส่วนของ Access และ Aggregate นั้น หันไปใช้เทคโนโลยี Carrier Ethernet และ DWDM แทนที่จะเป็น Next Gen SDH และ DWDM แบบเดิมๆ เนื่องจากเริ่มไม่คุ้มที่จะใช้ Next Gen SDH มารองรับ packet traffic ในสัดส่วนที่มากกว่า TDM Traffic การหันมาใช้ Carrier Ethernet ทำให้ประหยัด Capex ในขณะที่ TDM Traffic ก็สามารถรองรับได้โดยการใช้ TDM over IP หรือ ส่งไปบน WDM ก็ได้โดยใช้อุปกรณ์เดิมที่มีอยู่ทำการ Aggregate ก่อนเข้า Wavelength
ล่าสุดก็มี Product ที่รวมเอา Carrier Ethernet กับ WDM เข้าด้วยกัน อย่างเช่น Product จากบริษัท BTI Systems ที่บริษัทฯนำมาทำตลาด ทำให้มีข้อดีคือ ลดต้นทุน ลดพื้นที่ในการติดตั้ง ลด power consumption ลด interconnection ที่ประกอบด้วย SFP และ interface card เพราะไม่ต้องมี interconnection ระหว่าง carrier ethernet platform กับ dwdm platform นอกจากนี้ก็สามารถ operate ระบบได้จาก NMS ระบบเดียวแทนที่จะต้องเป็น 2 ระบบ จึงเป็น Products ที่ผู้ให้บริการควรนำไปพิจารณาในการลงทุนสร้างโครงข่ายในอนาคตครับ
