TTI has just organized the "RFID:Are You Ready?" seminar to our key customers on November 6, 2007 to help creating awareness and promoting various applications using RFID technology in Thailand. Invited speakers included Khun Pitchaya from GS1 Thailand, Dr. Chaichana from NECTEC and Khun Somprasong from Thai Post. Live demo using RFID system for warehouse management application was also shown using the RFID hardware system from Intermec and RFID tag from UPMRaflatac. Various types of RFID tags for various applications from UPMRaflatac was also introduced in the seminar. The participants also received seminar badges which were embedded with RFID chip. At the entrance to the seminar room, the RFID reader read these badges and show the participant's information off the RFID chip. We have received a lot of interests on the technology and will plan to arrange subsequent events in the near future.

TTI has been awarded a DWDM Backbone Network from EGAT recently. TTI shall implement the DWDM backbone network using Huawei equipment. The project includes the latest technology in DWDM, the ROADM equipment. The ROADM stands for Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer which is a big improvement over the traditional fixed OADM. Using ROADM, it is much faster to provision and reconfigure a wavelength in the DWDM network. |
